We dedicate this comprehensive tour to those who have a lot of time and want to explore our country deeply. During our tour you will visit the most interesting and important cities of Romania with its landmarks. Here is our proposal for itinerary which covers most interesting sites of the country:
Day 1
Our guide will meet with you at the airport/hotel and take you from Bucharest to Sibiu. You will take a pleasant and picturesque ride through the Carpathian Mountains and you will have a chance to explore fantastic Transylvania region. On our way you will stop at Curtea de Arges Cathedral which is considered to be one of the most outstanding buildings in Romania. Then, you will head toward marvellous Sibiu. You will take a sightseeing tour and see the most important sites such as Piata Mare (The Big Square), Piata Mica (The Little Square), Piata Huet (Huet Square), Iron Bridge, Biserica Evangelica (The Evangelical Church) and Mitropolia (The Orthodox Church). Overnight and dinner in Sibiu.
Day 2
After breakfast, you will go toward Sighisoara which is one of the best preserved medieval town in Europe. Our knowledgable guide will show you the city's highlights. You will take a pleasant walk along narrow cobbled streets and you will admire such monuments as Guild Tower, Venetian House (built in the 13th Century), Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) House, Antler House, Wood Covered Staircase, Hill Church, Hermann Oberth Square. Overnight in Sighisoara.
Day 3
This day, you will cover the distance of over 300 km exploring Maramures region. You will visit the wooden churches which have been inscribed into UNESCO World Heritage List. In the afternoon, you will head toward Sapanta where the Merry Cemetery is located. This outstanding site is famous for colourful wooden crosses on tombstones with humorous descriptions of people who were buried there. Overnight in Sighet.
Day 4
As you eat breakfast, you will go to the popular and fascinating region of north-eastern Romania – to Bucovina. You will have a chance to admire wonderful pearl of local sacral architecture. You will visit 'painted' monasteries which feature colourful and vivid frescos on the walls. They were recognized as exceptionally valuable and have been inscribed into UNESCO List. On your way, you will stop at Barsana Wooden Monastery. Overnight in Monasteries' area.
Day 5
After breakfast, you will continue your tour around Bukovina's monasteries. This day, you will see 3 incredible architectural gems. You will visit Voronet Monastery known as 'The Sixth Chapel of the East'. It is famous for incredible frescos with predominant blue color. Then, you will visit Agapia Monastery and Neamt Monastery. Overnight in Piatra Neamt city.
Day 6
In the morning, after breakfast you will set off to Brasov. During a picturesque ride through the Eastern Carpathian's landscape, you will have a chance to admire fantastic views over Bizac Gorges. You will have a short break at a resort on the Red Lake. On your way to Brasov, you will visit the biggest fortified church in the Southeastern Europe located in Prejmer. Overnight at Brasov.
Day 7
You will take a pleasant walking tour around the most interesting sites of Brasov. You will see the Black Church, the Town Hall Square, the Franciscan Monastery, The Central Park, The Black Tower, The White Tower, the Rope Street – the narrowest street in Europe, and more. In the afternoon, you will head toward Bran Castle known as 'Dracula Castle' and to Sinaia – the rmountain resort called The pearl of the Carpathian. There you will visit Peles Castle – one of the most beautiful palaces in Romania. Our tour will end in Bucharest in the evening.
