We would like to take you on a fantastic journey into the history of the most famous or rather infamous character having been living in Transylvania. You will learn more about a ruler Vlad Tepes and the undead blood sucker, Dracula. We offer 6-day tour around fascinating land of Transylvania:
Day 1
We will pick you up from the airport/ your hotel. Our professional English-speaking guide will take you on a pleasant sightseeing tour around the most important sites of Bucharest. You will see Parliament Palace, the former Royal Palace, the Revlution Square and much more. Overnight in Bucharest.
Day 2
After breakfast, you will head toward Snagiv Monastery which is the burial place of Vlad the Impaler. The monastery is picturesquely located on an island of Slagov Lake. You will take a pleasant boat trip across the lake as well. Then, you will go to Brasov – one of the most wonderfull cities of Romania. You will visit the Black Church there. Overnight in Brasov.
Day 3
This day, you will have a chance to explore legendary Dracula's Castle, which is known as Bran Castle. You will admire this fantastic building picturesquely towering over the area. Then, you will stop at Sighisoara - the birthplace of Vlad Tepes and a charming medieval town listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Overnight in Sighisoara.
Day 4
After breakfast, our guide will take you on a walking tour around the town of Sighisoara. You will see the Clock Tower, the Evangelical Church and much more interesting sites. Then, you will continue your tour to Bistrica where you will take a nice stroll around the medieval town centre and the next stop will be at Borgo Pass where the Castle Dracula Hotel is located. Both Bistrica ans Borgo Pass were mentioned in Stoker's novel, and that's why they are popular among tourists. Overnight at “Dracula Castle” Hotel. The fantastic panorama view is stretching from the castle.
Day 5
In the morning, you will have a stroll in the spectacular scenery around the hotel. Then, you will head toward Biertan – the charming medieval town located at the foot of a small hill. Biertan is famous for the fortified church which has been inscribed into UNESCO's World Heritage List. The eclectic and defence complex was built in 15th-16th centuries in the late Gothic style. Then, you will visit Sibiu and take a walking tour around this marvellous town having been European Cultural Capital in 2007. Overnight in Sibiu.
Day 6
The last day of our tour is dedicated to visit Poienari, which is Vlad’s old citadel towering high on a cliff. This impressive fortress were built by Turks captured by Vlad Tepes in the 15th century. Then, you will head toward Bucharest, where our tour will end.
