We offer you a fascinating tour combining sightseeing with spending time actively. You will discover Romania's nature and its cultural and historical background. We want to show you the most impressive sites of our country and give you a chance of exploring its beauty during cycling across wild areas.
Day 1
We will pick you up from the airport /your hotel in Bucharest and then take you to Transylvania through the Prahova Valley across the Carpathian Mountains. You will check in our lodge in Bran which is located on the boarder of the Bucegi National Park. If you want to, you will do a short hike in the afternoon.
Day 2
Hiking in Bucegi National Park
You will start your trip from Bran at 1100 meters altitude and head toward the picturesque Batrana saddle at 2300 meters altitude. You will follow the former border of two empires the Turkish or Ottoman empire and the Austro-Hungarian empire. The trail runs at the top of the mountain range. Then, you will cover a long, easy and scenic descent and reach Pestera Hotel in the middle of the National Park. Overnight in Pestera Hotel 3***
Distance 11 km Ascent 1000 Meters, Descent 700 Meters, duration 6 Hours
Note: for this day only you will need a “1 day backpack” large enough to carry personal stuff for one overnight. Don’t forget swimming suit – hotel has indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna
Day 3
This day, you will visit the Ialomita Cave and the Monastery inside the cave which was built at the cave entrance in the 18th century. You will continue your trip to the Strunga saddle. From this point the downhill takes about 2 hours. You get to the forestry road inBran and go back to your lodge. Overnight back in Bran

Day 4
This day is dedicated to a mountain bike tour through the southern part of the Piatra Craiului park. You will start from the village of Fundata and cover a long descent along Cheia Valley and reach a so-called caldera – a place where 4 gorges meet.
Then, you will continue your cycling to the Dambovicioara gorge. You will ride uphill on a steep road and traverse rolling hills among superb scenery, all the way back to the starting point. Overnight in Bran.
Day 5
After a few days of physical effort, we offer a day of exploration of Transylvania’s landmarks. You will visit a medieval heritage – the Rasnov Fortress, This impressive fortification was built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knights. Then, you will head toward the medieval city of Brasov. Brasov belongs to the most remarkable cities in Romania. It was the most important trade center of medieval Transylvania. You will take a walk along medieval streets and see the main hightlights: the Council Square, the Gothic Black Church and the “Rope Street” – one of the narrowest streets in Europe. You will continue your tour to Sighisoara which is a medieval town inscribes into UNESCO World Heritage List. That's here, the real prince Vlad Dracula was born in 1431. Overnight in Sighisoara.
Day 6
After breakfast, our guide will show you beauty of Sighisoara. You will visit the Clock Tower, the symbol of Sighisoara, the prison and torture chamber. You will get to the medieval Hill Church after climbing the 176 covered stairs.
You will ride 40 Minutes west from Sighisoara to the fortified church of Biertan - a UNESCO World Heritage site. Another interesting site of Transylvania is the “Matrimonial Prison“. The couples who wanted to divorce were imprisoned in a small room inside the fortress in an attempt to sort out their problems before being allowed to divorce. You will drive back in the evening. Overnight in Bran.
Day 7
The next day you will spend on a bicycle. You will head toward one of the best preserved castles in Transylvania – Fagaras. The ride starts with a short uphill of about 2 kilometres. Then you will cover 40 kilometres through the charming villages located at the feet of The Fagaras Mountains. You will arrive at the town of Fagaras around lunch time. After lunch, you will have time to explore a fantastic Fagaras castle. Overnight in Bran.
Day 8
You will go back to Bucharest. However, if you have time, we can provide one more short hike before leaving Bran.
The drive back to Bucharest takes about 2.5 hours.
