We would like to take you for a one-day tour around the most interesting sites of Arad County. You will go 45km to the north of Timisoara, toward the only round shaped village of Romania which belongs to the 'Unheard of' Romania's Beauties. The village is perfectly symmetric and was declared a historic monument by the Ministry of Culture. The next place you will visit is the Soimos Fortress located in Lipova. It was built in the 13th century. The fortress went the rounds through centuries. It was damaged during Turkish siege in the 16th and 17th centuries and abandoned in the 18th century. From the fortress opens a wonderful view to the gorge of Mures and to the plains of Arad. You will go through vineyards in Paulis and you will stay in a wine cellar to try some excellent wine. Then, you will visit Arad where you will see beautiful Art Nouveau architecture (also Austro-Hungarian heritage) and have some free time to have lunch on the banks of the river Mures. Then, you will head toward the town of Vinga and you will see one of the largest churches in Romania.
