During our tour you will visit the archaeological site of Sarmizegetusa Regia which was the ancient capital of Dacia and the most important Dacian fortification, religious and political center. It is located on top of a 1200 meter high mountain. You will discover temples, sanctuaries, monuments with specific astronomic meaning and surprisingly exact calendars. Sarmizegetusa Regia has been inscribed into the List of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then, you will head toward Hunedoara where Corvin Castle is picturesquely located on a hill. It is also known as Hunyadi Castle or Hunedoara Castle. It is one of the most beautiful stone medieval fortresses in Romania. The next stop will be at Alba Iulia, an amazing fortress in Vauban style which was originally a Roman fort called Apulum. The former capital of Transylvania boasts extremely valuable monuments, important to the cultural heritage of many nations - Romanians, Hungarians and also Poles.
