During this walking tour you will discover all major sites of our interesting city as well as you will learn a lot about its history, culture and traditions. We will start our tour from the Palace Square surrounded by significant monuments and buildings such as the legendary Athenee Palace Hotel or the iconic Romanian Athenaeum – famous concert hall. Then you will visit the Revolution Square – the place where the 1989 anticommunist revolution in Bucharest started and where the dictator Nicolae Ceausescu gave his last public speech. You will walk along the chic Calea Victoriei street and feel the atmosphere of the “Little Paris of the Balkans”. On University Square you will see fantastic buildings of the University of Architecture, the National Theater and more. Then you will go toward the Old Town of Bucharest which is now a bustling district of entertainment. Finally we will walk towards Unirii Square which history is closely related with the recent communist era. You will admire the famous building of Palace of Parliament – the former House of the People which is now the second largest administrative building in the world.
